Gc3 Discussion Yes, we're doing another Grand Campaign

Welcome back folks. We took a break from the Grand Campaign to let a few other projects run their course. Since they pretty much have, it's time to let the Grand Campaign have its little moment in the limelight (Probably before it too inevitably sees its end. Oh well, here's to hoping that that's a ways off).
Anyway, starting off the topic, there are a few key differences that sets the Grand Campaign apart from the West. The Grand Campaign and the West are two parallel dimensions, fundamentally different from each other (Though similar enough to have many of the same characters). As such, there are a few considerations to make. First off, The continent of Pangea has been all but destroyed. Thanks to a random act of the Machine empire, the island was sunk when a giant orbital death laser was fired at Fortress Indomitable, the Imperium's main base. Having powered their base by a Core tap (essentially, geothermal plants powered by drilling directly through the mantle of the planet and into the gooey, molten core), this inevitably triggered a volcanic eruption that destroyed City 2 and Hellfin Lundon, and sent the rest of the island (Sans a portion of City 1 and Little Corneria) sinking underwater. Cities were submerged, and even the Mobian Desert is now resting under the sea. The Volcano itself is now home to Firefox's Planetary-based R&D Facility.
Another change is the lack of the wreckage of the Corvolt Invasion carrier orbiting the earth. Though it was never touched upon in the West, the destroyed invasion carrier was revealed to be floating above the Earth in the Sprite Wars East 2 Campaign. Since the East 2 was canon in both the West and the Grand Campaign, the Carrier was technically carried over into both. Having said that, partway through the first Grand Campaign, the Invasion Carrier was destroyed, and many of its pieces fell to the Earth below.
Having mentioned the Mobian Islands, the war between the Mobian Refugees and their cruel oppressors, the Mobian Empire, resulted in the Angel Island becoming permanently landlocked in Egypt. To prevent another catastrophe with a Core Tap breaching, the Angel Island was dropped onto the second Imperial Base, the Fortress of Tut, sealing off the core tap under thousands of tons of rocks. From there, the tap would naturally cool over the course of many months.
On that note, an unknown entity crashed into the middle east, leaving a large crater in the Red Sea. The crater itself filled in with water from the Indian Ocean. The newly expanded Red Sea is now known unofficially as the Ground Zero sea. It took nearly a year for the dust to settle significantly enough from the blast. Global Temperatures have dropped and average of three degrees as a result of this, plus the explosion of the Pangean Volcano.
With these events that had shifted the landscape and changed the face of the planet, the Federated State of Armex set up makeshift colony of earth refugees on the Moon. Tensions rise, as the Terran Defense Authority had already claimed a large portion of the lunar surface for research and mining.
I forget if it was before or after, but the FSA had taken much of Africa in search of Alien Technology. The fruits of their labor? A Massive city ship, larger than even the biggest Kuradian vessel. With Such power and advanced technology, the FSA stood early unrivaled....
Nearly, in that Kulien, the enigmatic dictator, had unleashed the power of his strange ship, the Star Forge. The final battle against the Eldritch ship begrudgingly brought Enemies and allies alike together to prevent the destruction of the universe itself. When all was said an done, the Star Forge ultimately self-destructed (or was destroyed by one of the FSA's black fusion bombs. Either way, the Star Forge imploded into a black hole and was never seen in the Grand Campaign's universe again...)
Then...one or two things actually managed to happen in the Grand Campaign east, but the most profound thing it can claim to is that somehow and island full of primatives and dinosaurs was found.
And that's the basic rundown of the things to remember in the Grand Campaign (at least landmark and event-wise)
Feel free to point out anything I missed. The campaign will start on... oh... let's say... Monday.

I know this isn't the map topic, but heres the most up-to-date worldmap that Nexus made and I slightly tweaked. (Mainly was fixing Ground Zero Ocean)

Since he already had marked the FSA's holdings, I went ahead and did the same. Just a note those tiny pacific islands that are marked, I had plans to take during the GC East but since it died...
Best thing to do in my opinion would be to assume that at least one or two years have passed. Gives everyone time to consolidate their holdings, and also gives reasonable time for new factions to rise up, and old factions who got trashed to rebuild.
Anyways, Storm since you're running this thing I'll let you organize the map topics and everything. And to everyone, have fun with the next GC. I'm gonna keep a relatively hands-off approach to it, and probably do minor things for the next few weeks as I still have quite a bit of spriting to get done.
THIRD TIMES THE CHARM
Edit:
OH! Right, one thing. When Merku ended the West, he said that some parts of that dimension exploded into the GC Dimension, and since he controlled America before his army collapsed at the end of the GC2, he's given the go-ahead to bring in the US from the West, which I've given over to Cass to control for the time being. (Hell if I'm gonna run two armies at once when one isn't even halfway done being sprited.)
As for any other territories which may have blown in, talk to each other (and definitely Storm!) and work stuff out if you wanna bring say, a hunk of your territory in from the West to give a good reason for your army's sudden arrival.

Armex is still in control of the UK?
Bugger. We'll have to do something about that.

I'd wager since universes merged that Armex prime overwrote UNIT and the British government's changes thanks to timeline fuckery on Ryic Blackrain's part during the west.
