So it seems Obama is cutting funding to space exploration big time. Well looks like humanities progress has been kicked back another 20 bloody years, might as well start living in huts while we're at it too.

What is it with governments and space? Do that outright dispise it or something? This just makes my blood boil hard, I just want the monetary system to choke on a dick badly.

Theres tons of benefits to exploring and perhaps colonizing space.

Hell even if you have to take a monetary system view on it theres lots of benefits for the fecking free market and capitalism itself, such as resources, energy and alot of other stuff that can be gained. So if we have to be greedy fucks theres still benefits to getting our asses up there. Infact some ideas of this can be seen in this plan

The government systems of Earth haven't made a smart move since 1945, hell even then they weren't making many smart choices. Money is a parasite, sucking out all the intelligence the brain has and replacing it with stupidity.

I'd say that's half the problem...the other half, IMO, is that people generally are too goddamn attached with their false sense of security to even consider taking ANY sort of risk at all...

In other words, Space exploration, much like actually thinking for oneself, is just too damn hard for people to attempt anymore.

Just imagine if/when this sheep mentality infects our industries and businesses...we'd might as well just nuke ourselves back to the stoneage by then, cause it'd not be any more harmful to progress than this bullshit is...
