Now they send it to my original address, rather than to the new address I specifically told them to sent to. For fucks sake, it's starting to get cheaper if I had gone to Sweden to pick it up.

Here's a rant for you. My stalker ex girlfriend got me arrested. Go fucking figure. Now they keep trying to contact me through several means of messaging and someone even came to my house dropping stuff (that she wanted given to me) off.

Oh and if you happen to be friends with her on Facebook PLEASE do not talk to her about me.

This community, Sprite Wars, used to be involved in multiple collaborative projects & campaigns. Now, the only successful campaign is the Global Campaign.

 

Every project/campaign besides that: The Fantasy styled, Colour Coated Campaign, Sprite Wars 1, Sprite Wars Halloween, the Retro Background project, they've arrived at a halt, and more ideas are being created, but so few people are willing to contribute anything of great significance.

 

I am going to step up as the young blood of Sprite Wars, and assist people in their endeavours.

 

Shiki will have old backgrounds, Mike's gonna get a background from underground, I will create a second faction that'll be Free Use for the Fantasy Campaign, and Colour Coated shall eventually receive my attention. Alongside all of this, I will be developing a campaign for MechaSonic.

 

I am not a great spriter by any means, most of my work is piles of junk in comparison to everyone else's, but what I can do is try to contribute.

 

If there is something small I want done but cannot do, the Requests thread will be receiving a post from me.

 

When I'd first looked at Sprite Wars, the impression I had was that it was alive. So many campaigns, It's Personal was being used, sprite collaborations were nice, you even had Archtross, guys! Is real life & the Global Campaign actually getting in the way if you have time to watch idle, watch anime, and post memes in the Skype or Discord?

I see it the same way that is why I am exparamenting with new things. Mabey the reason why most people don't come on hear and make an account is because other spriters don't like how the campaigns work. Hence why I'm making a version of sprite wars in steroids. Maybe we will be able to get more people.

 

I actually wanted to reboot the fantasy campaign. I made a magic based faction but some people in powerful positions on this sight said no you cant have a faction that both has the ability to summon angels and demons. So my hard work on compileing the sprites was worhtless fruitless. The main idea was to have a government like america in which there are 2 parties and they are a republic. Accept instead of the parties republican and democrat we have white magic holy based order and on the other side dark magic both are considered by the other to be ether eliminated or just have both be allowed to be together in harmony. I wanted to add political melodrama to the mix.

I tried many campaign revive as well ,but they sadly died off quickly. mainly cause some of our older members left and the current members are swamped with real life. so the only way was to keep one campaign for now with the current active member count.

Mainly cause stuff like the fantasy and retro background project We don't have many resources since most of us just edit sprites since we don't have time to build stuff from the ground up. some of us do ,but not all.

Well it is good to be active ,but we also need more active people in order for stuff to work.

Do whatever you can and the more you do sprites the better you will get. you should of seen everyone's early sprite edits/customs to what there doing now.

I'll give you the 411

 

1) Lots of us are OLDDDD in net years. much of us are in out 20s or getting to the 30s (ie me hitting the big 3 0 on the 19th) So yeah real life like work, trying to find work, College, and just getting there lives started is holding us back. that and medical issues ( I have a new ulcer back and more angrier than before wrecking my system).

 

2) time is limited for most: sorry ,but we aren't sprite /background making machines that can vomit out sprites and backgrounds. Even after a day or work or a day off most of us want to relax from the stressful day of work. Or many ( like me) are spending much time bombarding EVERY... SINGLE.... JOB BOARD.... with no bits and having to go from contract to contract just to get some money. if it wasn't for my dad knowing how job hunting is difficult now than he was a kid i would be on the streets. so i'm very lucky. I also study as well so I can get certifications and such to help better my resume.

 

So just cause folks aren't around don't think we are just spamming memes or watching anime. some of us are trying to i dunno FUCKING... ADULT!! aka get a job, and makesure we make enough so we don't go homeless on the street Once you get to our age you will understand.

So my friend invites me over for the purpose to have my computer's hardrive transfered into a PC that has more powerful hardware- after some motherboard issues we got it working.

Everything is perfect until we decide to check if the steam client- and for reasons unknown Steam decides to just go fucking retard mode and conditioned itself to believe all my purchases are null. All my games installed and now listed as Pre-load complete which according to many sources indicate that the game's files cannot be unlocked until the games release date. So fucking wonderful- none of it even fucking adds up- All we did was transfer my hardrive to a new tower- and this somehow of all things effects Steam?

 

Even though I have recorded game time and backups- installed files you name it. So now I have to contact steam about it, and wait god knows how fucking long to get an error that shouldn't even exist to be fixed.
