Glitch does have plans to move the campaign to a different planet next season ,but for now we cannot ask everyone to drop what thier doing just to restart due to majhost is dead. It's not saying no to the reboot idea is just that stuff is still going on to call for one. If the campaigns however were completely over then it would be a call for one. MikeMurdock Posted June 5, 2015 Report Share Posted June 5, 2015 I'll explain it like one of these two ways 1) Your freind made a big dinner and a desert . you don't stop mid way of eatting the dinner and go striaght to the desert. it'll just make your friend angry and won't cook for you again. or 2) Let's say you were watching a trilogy of movies and mid way someoen comes in pulls out your DVD and reaplces it with something else. would you and your friends watching that trilogy would be pissed off? If the campaigns however were completely over then it would be a call for one. the campaign is looking a little dead (gobal), but that a little beside the point. The point is that there been a complete and to what i know about, irreversible deletion of most of sprite war comics, backgrounds, and sprites. Half of the global history is basically broken placeholder. Colour i'm not sure about, so I'm not going to comment on that. But that not saying i'm calling for a complete start over asap, I'm not. What I'm asking for is members to help out laying out the groundwork of a completely reworked setting that will be made into a campaign later on. (think a broken floppy disk copy of UFO: enemy unknown, vs a brand new remake of said game, better known as Xcom: Enemy unknown) I'm saying after the somewhat stale dinner and semi-melt ice cream is done, or after the worn out and scratchy films are done, we learn from our mistakes and begin to make something new and not so breakable... in order to do this, I need people, then we need need to steal a time machine (as in the literature sense of the word, not literally word for word) and get to around the beginnings of sprite war, get what we can, bring it back to this day and age, take theses sprites we got from the old days and touch them up, bring in the new stuff, throw it in the bender, see if it will blend, and starting off with a new canon. Plus we have unfinished story plotlines as well (Examples: Mecha sonic's legion vs the nazis, Voltor hasn't recovered the portal technology they sought after, Rav waiting patiently to get his army into play due to it's piggy backing on the voltor plotline, the conflicts in Europe and Africa). Plus we been uploading everything of global and color coated into their own respected Dropbox. if you even log in you would noticed that. And as for your reboot. We been already working on something like a reboot-ish with glitch on global campaign 3 since it will take place on a entirely new planet in order for everyone to get a fresh start with gathering territories and clean out inactive factions. ( Hell I was going to play a new faction for global 3 and put my other 2 in cold storage) as for your comparison that is null due to digital distribution has the original X-com game along with old movies. plus your last part makes little to no sense and doesn't help your point. I ment if you were watching something mid way and someone changed out the DVD to ANOTHER movie while you were trying to finish the movie you were watching so you CAN watch ANOTHER MOVIE. and I ment WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED WITH THE MEAL AND CAN GO ONTO DESSERT. please read carefully first before you post. the meaning i'm trying to get is players want to finish the campaign first before we do other things. Once global and color coated are completed then we can discuss about new stuff. In fact why you posted this topic when you could of posted your opinions on the global 3 thread and give some input for global 3 even with the idea of it being a reboot. Already stated there that i was basically done with global, Majhost disappearance and my collection getting bleeped to nothingness partly to clause. I also did got dropbox, but it not working. We still have people discussing there moves particularly on Skype and amongst things we are waiting on a few in particular because they are in respect next to respond. We are just going to have to sum up what we remembered happened, and in the future we can always try to get members to re upload there comics (if they have them still) and simply put we place the puzzle pieces together in order. Other than that it really isn't important- and none of us really want to rework on what we have already made, even if it's just brand new stuff to somehow throw into the mix leading to this current season. I don't know how you're Shout box is even working, you don't need to download the program.
